Our School Day

School hours

Infants

The school day starts at 8.55a.m. and finishes at 3.20p.m. There is a fifteen minute break in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon. Morning lessons finish at 11.45a.m. Afternoon lessons begin at 1pm (32 hours 5 minutes per week) Children are brought to, and collected from, their classroom door next to the infant playground. 

Juniors

The school day starts at 8.55a.m. and finishes at 3.30p.m. There is a fifteen minute break in the morning and ten minutes in the afternoon. Morning lessons finish at 12 noon. Afternoon lessons begin at 1pm (32 hours 55 minutes per week) Children come in to school independently via the main entrance gateway to the school grounds and can be collected from the car park path, or on Crescent Avenue, at the end of the day. 

Before School Extra-Curricular activity clubs begin at 8am and are accessed via the main entrance gate to the school grounds. Children should arrive no sooner than 7:55am.

After School Extra-Curricular activity clubs finish at either 4:20 or 4:30pm (depending on the club). Children will be brought to, and collected from, the main school gate.

The school opens its doors to children, both Infants and Juniors at 8.45a.m. In the interests of  safety, children should not arrive before this time, especially on cold or rainy mornings, without prior permission as there is no supervision. Children should come into school when the doors open so that they are in class by 8.55a.m. School begins with registration at 8.55a.m. for both the juniors and the infants. If your child arrives in school after 8.55a.m., they must use the front entrance and sign the late register. A late mark will be entered in the register.

Out of School Club (our 'wrap around care') opens at 7:30am and closes at 6pm.

If there are any issues or delay to collection arrangements for any of the children at the end of the day, please ensure that the office is contacted so that childeren can be informed and remain safe until they are collected.
